The match against Tanzania, an average meeting, says the Egyptian boss as he prepares for Zim

Egypt's badistant coach Hany Ramzy called the meeting of the Pharaohs against Tanzania a "middle match".

Ahmed Elmohamady scored the only goal for North Africans, winning 1-0 in a preseason game Thursday in front of Afcon 2019.

Ramzy, an Egyptian website, told Kingfut: "We will not go wrong, this is an average match where we managed to dominate possession of the ball, but our performance varied between the two halves while we we were barely threatened by Tanzania.

"The friendly match allowed us to test more than one game plan. We started the game with 4-2-3-1, then we went from 4-3-3 to 3-4-3 in the second half. However, some players have been tired.

"There were probably few negatives like the defensive performance that needs to be improved, as well as the poor positioning of the midfielder and the loss of the ball easily, which caused some dangers on the rest.

"We also had better take advantage of the badists and, overall, it was a good opportunity to try some reserve players. Our shape will be different from Guinea," he added.

Egypt will face Guinea on Sunday in their last test match before facing Zimbabwe in Afcon's opening match on 21 June.

The match against the Warriors will take place for the second time at an Afcon tournament after the 2004 match in Tunisia.
