When we met the Duggar family for the first time a few years ago, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar were solidly established in Arkansas – and nothing has changed much since then. Some family members, like Josh Duggar, have left the state, but have since found their way back home, near their father and mother. And fans are rather happy that all family members live close to each other, making the possibility of family photos all the more plausible.
The Duggars are no longer the only major Christian fundamentalist family on reality TV. We know 19 members of the Bates family (although many fans have noticed that they seem to be much more laid back than the Duggars). And the Bates are mainly based in Tennessee.
It seems that some members of the Duggar and Bates families have announced their move – and the fans have noticed the simultaneous timing. Here's who goes where and what fans have to say about it.
Jinger Duggar announced his move to Los Angeles
Jinger Duggar is one of the members of the Duggar family who, they always thought, would always go forward. This "rebel" Duggar spoke of his enthusiasm for life in big cities in the past. And although Michelle Duggar always crushes her, Jinger and her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, finally realize their dreams and head west. As they wrote on their family blog, "Thanks to lots of prayers and advice, our next step is to move to Los Angeles to attend the Grace Community Church, while Jeremy is continuing his studies superior to the Seminary of the Master. "
The fans seem extremely excited that Jinger and Jeremy are making their big step, since they have discussed the possibility in the past and have already made small steps to find their own way out of the rest of the world. Duggars. We know they were already out of Arkansas and were living in Laredo, Texas, before their announcement, and it seems they will be the only Duggars ever to move to the west coast.
Micheal Bates also moves, but returns home to Tennessee
Jinger and Jeremy are not the only ones to move, as mentioned before. Michael Bates, the eldest daughter of the Bates family, is also taking a big step forward. Unlike Jinger, however, she does not move away from her family. Instead, In Touch Weekly notes that she is returning to Tennessee to continue her nursing studies. As she wrote on social media, "To complete the degree I currently have, Tennessee seemed to be the best and most affordable option for schooling. So … we are going to TN! "
As noted by a fan on the Counting On Reddit page, "Does this mean a Fundie moving season?" First, Jinger and Jeremy move to Los Angeles and now two of the Bates are returning to Tennessee. And it seems that Jinger is also delighted that Michael is entering this new chapter of his life. As she commented on her Instagram, "Wow! So excited for you all!
Many think that Jessa Duggar could be the next to move
If it's really the "Fundie Move Season", as the Reddit user called it, it means we can expect another move as well. And some fans have suspected that it could be Jessa Duggar who is ready to pack his bags afterwards. Jessa and Ben Seewald have two children and she is currently pregnant with her third child who is due to give birth in the spring. Jessa and Jinger are very close and some suspected Jinger might possibly persuade the Seewald family to move west with her and Jeremy.
Unfortunately, fans will have to keep dreaming they want Jessa to move. In Touch News Weekly, a fan asked her on social networks if she was considering moving to a larger space to accommodate her growing family. Jessa replied, "We are staying there for the moment! If we are still there in a few years, we have a carport under our roof that could allow us to close a little more in square feet. Jessa recently made her choice at home and seems to really love it, so it seems like we will have to look to other members of the Duggar and Bates family to see who could move next.
