The Minister of Education gives 50 bins to Otumfuo

Matthew Opoku-Prempeh, MP of Manhyia South, aka "Napo", MP for Manhyia South, donated 50 new garbage cans to Manhyia Palace.

He donated the articles to support the celebration of 20th Anniversary of the asantehene gold stool ascent, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

The green bins would be placed at the palace's viewpoints, especially during the grand durbar, to mark the significant impact of Otumfuo next Sunday.

This would greatly help to improve the sanitation of the palace because thousands of people are expected in the city in the coming days.

Leaders of the new Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Manhyia South constituency, chaired by their president, Kofi Anane, donated the items on behalf of Napo, who is currently abroad.

The Saamanhene, Nana Osei Kwaku III and Buabasa, Nana Adbofuor Kwaw, on behalf of their suzerain, the Asantehene received garbage on Saturday morning.

Nana Osei Kwaku III, of Saamanhene, congratulated Napo for donating garbage cans to help improve sanitation during the celebration.

"The kind gesture of Napo shows that he has at heart the problems concerning Otumfuo and that he should support his good works," said the traditional chief.

Before the donation, NPP Manhyia South Constituency officials from the NPP and hundreds of other members of the ruling political party organized a clean-up exercise.

Kumasi Mayor, Osei Assibey, and Francis Adomako, regional organizer of the Ashanti Nuclear Power Plant, took part in the clean-up exercise that was held near the Manhyia Palace.

Osei Assibey, in his speech, said, "Over the years, Napo has defended the sanitation problems in Kumasi and deserves to be hailed by all."

Francis Adomako, the organizer of the Ashanti Regional Nuclear Power Plant, said Napo's extraordinary leadership style helped to make Manhyia South's nuclear power plant formidable.

Haruna Alhbadan, the district secretary of the Manhyia South Nuclear Power Plant, badured that she would maintain her good works after Otumfuo.

He said: "We held a clean-up exercise here last Saturday and we have another one today. "We will continue until the celebration of Otumfuo's birthday."
