The minority in Parliament has accused the leader of the majority, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, of having abandoned the House to devote himself to other activities unrelated to the activities of the House.

He claimed that the majority leader had convinced the House to extend the suspension period for an additional week only to leave the country.

However, Adwoa Safo, deputy leader of the majority, said that the investigation was not necessary since the House's work could be conducted without the presence of the majority leader.

According to her, the majority leader and other members of Parliament occupied important files on behalf of the House, hence her absence.
