The old slaughterhouse and the new
The municipal general manager of Prestea Huni-Valley, the Hon. Mozart K. Owuh once again showed that the resources of the municipality should be used wisely for the well-being of the population, by completing the abandoned slaughterhouse of Bogoso.
The project that started and ended in 2015 by the former DCE Hon. Wisdom Cudjoe was rejected and abandoned by the cattle breed badociation of Bogoso because it did not meet the needs and specifications of the breeders.
Because of this, cattle control in the capital, Bogoso, has been a hot topic in the municipality, with several reports of cattle encroaching on St. Augustine SHS campuses.
After several complaints and petitions from farmers, the director general of the municipality, the Hon. Mozart K. Owuh came to the rescue of farmers by restructuring the whole apartment and providing all the necessary facilities in a standard abattoir.
The MCE stated that it hoped that farmers would use the new facility for the benefit of Prestea Huni-Valley Municipality.
He added that "this new goodwill on my part and on the part of the Assembly, the cattle ranchers, will be a pivot that will lead to victory in the fight against the wandering cattle not only in the capital Bogoso, but also to Prestea and other communities in the municipality ".
