The New Patriotic Party has urged the opposition NDC not to politicize the death of the underground investigator Ahmed Hussien-Suale.
According to the ruling party, such behavior could hinder the police investigation procedures and ensure that the guilty parties get away with a murder.
Speaking at the show "Ade Akye Abia" of Okay FM, party secretary general, Mr John Boadu explained that it was very irresponsible to point fingers at someone who might not even to be the author of the murder.
"We should have a more decent and broader thought in our discussion to ensure that the murders do not go away … Let the police conduct their investigations independently without politicizing the death of the boy." Police have resources more than enough to solve the problem, "he said.
The parliamentary minority insisted that the deputy of Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, be arrested for the murder of Ahmed Hussien-Suale, an investigative journalist under cover of Tiger Eye P.I.
At a press conference held on Monday, former deputy interior minister and Builsa North MP James Agalga said: "We call on the security forces to promptly arrest Mr. Agyapong and to bring him to justice for his actions. "
The minority came to this conclusion after interpreting Article 20 (1) of the Criminal Offenses and Other Offenses Act 1960 (Law 29), which reads as follows:
"A person who, directly or indirectly, incites, orders, advises, procures, solicits or, in any manner whatsoever, deliberately aids, facilitates, encourages or promotes, whether by a personal act or by a presence or not, and a person who commits an act. in order to badist, facilitate, encourage or promote the commission of a criminal offense by another person, whether known or unknown, certain or uncertain, commits Criminal offense of incitement to perpetrate the criminal offense, and in respect of the other person with respect to this criminal offense. "
However, Mr Boadu insists that it is too early to blame anyone for the death of the investigator.
"Do not forget that Ahmed Suale is not the only person to whom he (the Hon. Kennedy Agyapong) has shown his picture on television that was murdered. There is this other guy who was involved in a similar affair with Anas and that person was also murdered, do we now say that Kennedy Agyapong provoked his murder? "he questioned.
"It does not make sense, at least, that the minority should think broadly when discussing such issues," he said.
