The award-winning interactive score was composed by veteran rock star collaborator Woody Jackson, who also composed the music of the first band Red Dead Redemption, LA Black and Grand Theft Auto V, in collaboration with Tangerine Dream, The Alchemist and Oh no ..

The music of Red Dead Redemption 2: original score includes pieces that were produced and arranged by Jeff Silverman (Truth and Soul, Aloe Black) and other instrumental music written by Colin Stetson (Bon Iver, Hereditary), David Ferguson (Johnny Cash engineer), David Ralicke (Beck, Sons of Anarchy), Gabe Witcher (Punch Brothers, True Detective), Luke O Malley, Mario Batkovic (by Geoff Barrows Invada), Matt Sweeney (Chavez, Superwolf, Iggy Pop and Bonnie Prince Billy), Rabih Beaini and Senyawa were orchestrated, More than 110 other musicians, including Arca (regular Bjork collaborator, Kanye West, Frank Ocean and Kelela), Duane Eddy (Lee Hazlewood protector), Jon Theodore (former Mars Volta drummer and currently Queens of the Stone Age drummer) Michael Shuman aka Mikey Shoes (Stone Age Queens, Mini Mansions) and many others.
