FC Nantes supporters organized a vigil for the missing footballer Emiliano Sala
The former club of Emiliano Sala, FC Nantes, has been watching in the city after the disappearance of the plane in which the attacker was traveling on the English channel.
The Argentine striker was on the flight for Cardiff after finishing his stint in the Premier League on the side of Ligue 1.
Supporters of the French club – nicknamed the Canaries – gathered at Place Royale, in downtown Nantes, to drop yellow tulips at the foot of the fountain.
Some fans sang his name while others waved Argentine flags.
The search and rescue operations were suspended for the night and must resume Wednesday morning.
The Guernsey police confirmed that a number of floating objects had been spotted in the water, but it was not able to tell if they belonged to the company. Aircraft gone.
