The special football tournament of the GFA standardization committee has been officially launched and is expected to start this weekend, March 30th and 31st.

The launch of the contest held Monday evening in the esplanade of the GFA secretariat was also marked by the official unveiling of the logo of the competition.

The logo is red for Protection and Orientation, Yellow for Loyalty and Success, Green for Renewal and Growth, and White for Purity and Peace.

NC President Dr. Kofi Amoah announced the participation fee to be paid to the players and the cash prize for each stage of the tournament.

Mr. Amoah also said that the competition "will be used to test the reforms that will be implemented as well as the rapid settlement of cases".

The competition aims to revive the national football competition in Ghana after a 9-month hiatus since Anas Number 12.

The winner of the first round of the competition will represent Ghana at the next CAF Champions League competition, while the winner of the knockout stage will represent Ghana at the next Confederation Cup competition.
