National security agents stormed the residence of Delali Brempong, from NDC to La Bawaleshie.
The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is asking the Electoral Commission to cancel the results of the partial election of Ayawaso West Wuogon that has just ended.
The NDC has stated that the election was held under dubious circumstances, including in a bellicose environment.
In a statement released Monday, the party added that it would not recognize the NPP candidate, Lydia Alhbadan "because the whole process was a sham."
The statement also calls on government institutions to open an investigation into the unrest that occurred Thursday in the residence of NDC candidate Delali Kwesi Brempong, who then went to the nearby La Bawaleshie voting center.
"We expect that … appropriate sanctions will be taken against offenders to restore a level of trust in the system," the party wrote.
"If we do not do this, the CND will have no choice but to unanimously among the candidates for the position of BNP in all the elections organized by the commission led by Jean Mensa in the MPP party and Nana Akufo Addo government, "they added.

The NDC also wants the Minister of National Security to answer three questions to the people of Ghana.

2. How many of them have received a weapon and live bullets?
3. How many MI6 and AK47 and accompanying ammunition were issued for their operations on the elections from 17 to 31 January 2019?
The National Security Minister, however, said the men were involved in an operation to arrest an enemy of the company, although he did not want to reveal who they were, saying that national security was still investigating. .
