He also called for dredging the Keta Lagoon and repairing the network of poor roads in the Shine area of ​​New Anlo District. He however thanked the President for the creation of the new district of Anlo and pledged his support.

Deputy Minister of Local Government Collins Ntim described the inauguration of the district as a realization of the dreams of local leaders and residents. He was of the view that the new district would become one of the fastest growing districts across the country, judging by the enthusiasm and commitment shown by the residents of the region.

He revealed that the procurement processes for logistics and equipment needed for the new district, including vehicles, are underway to ensure that the district is fully anchored. Mr Ntim congratulated the leaders and people of Anlo State for maintaining the peace and tranquility of its 36 areas over the years, adding that the peaceful nature of the region was the precondition for its total development.

MCE for Keta, Seth Yormewu, said the fight for the creation of the district began several years ago, until the NPP government gives meaning to the demand of last year. . He thanked the Chair, Regional Ministers and other stakeholders who worked closely to achieve this achievement.

Mr. Yormewu invited residents to continue to work together to ensure the dreams and aspirations of the new district are realized.
