Booking a flight may seem like a daunting task, but Kayak has released a new feature to make the process easier.
The travel booking site recently unveiled a new chart showing the average fare for the different travel routes over time. By using the table, users can get an idea of the most expensive months to travel to a destination and cheaper ones.
The Kayak card allows users to know the cheapest time to book a plane ticket between two destinations
For example, the chart below shows average fares between New York and Amsterdam.
While thefts historically cost $ 415 between January and February, the same trip can cost up to $ 646 in July, according to Kayak.
To view more detailed digits, Kayak users can click the "Show Year by Year" box above the chart. In doing so, users will be able to compare historic flight prices with those of the previous year.
As you can see below, the prices of flights from New York to Amsterdam in 2018 were a little higher than before. For example, flights between the two countries in July cost an average of $ 646, according to Kayak. But in July 2018, the travel site has median prices as high as $ 735.
