FromSoftware, with the Dark Souls trilogy, has brought the hard games back to the mainstream, and Souls-like has become a concept today. However, the development team has bravely broken this franchise, at least for now. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice in medieval Japan will be completely different from the Souls and not just from the more talkative protagonist, but from the more concentrated story and game. In the past, we had a taste of exciting history in preliminary form and recently a new video on PlayStation Europe, featuring a special enemy of Sekiro.
The ephemeral caravan bears the subtitle Lady Butterfly, which obviously refers to the famous Giacomo Puccini opera, Butterfly Lady (Madama Butterfly), which appears in the twentieth century. It takes place in Nagasaki at the beginning of the 20th century. Of course, Butterfly Lady's portrayal in Sekiro's film is not a failure, but an older woman who has supernatural power based on her Chinese wuxi / Hong Kong movements, and who is also dangerous. Lady Butterfly seems to be the master of the blades and probably a shinobi like Sekiró. In any case, FromSoftware also promised that boss fights would be more diverse this time than in Souls and that all bosses would require unique tactics and combat tactics. So, of course, Lady Butterfly will have problems.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice will be released on March 22 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
