As if a serial killing doll was not scary enough, the new A child's game went one step further. The full trailer was finally released after an image of the new Chucky was unveiled earlier this week. Playing on technology themes in our modern society, this will probably be Chucky's scariest film to date.
"Buddi" is presented as a toy provided with a downloadable phone application, which allows people to "see what Buddi sees" and other features. The story focuses on a sloppy "Buddi" that is Chucky, a manic version of the toy. The rest of the two-minute trailer shows several people who become the unfortunate victims of Chucky and explains how Andy, the owner of the doll, collaborates with law enforcement and devises a plan to put an end to it .
What does that do A child's game restart so terrifying? Well, to begin with, it shows how dependent our society is on technology and how it can be detrimental to problems and dysfunctions. See for yourself – meet your new best friend, voiced by Mark Hamill, in the trailer below.
The slasher will be available on June 21 on Orion Pictures.
