The nightmarish scenario against Mauricio Pochettino & Spurs while the match of opening of the stadium is confirmed

Tottenham Hotspur will finally be back in the N17 on Wednesday, April 3rd with Crystal Palace, visitors to the magnificent new home of the club.

Only scheduled to spend the season at Wembley with work underway on the 62,062-seat stadium, a number of delays have forced the Lilywhites to remain at the national stadium for the time being.

However, provided the club receives the appropriate safety certificates following the next two test events, Roy Hodgson's team will be the first visitor to the stadium early next month.

It was finally confirmed on Sunday that it would be the Eagles who would participate in the opening match after the quarterfinal win of the FA Cup Brighton & Hove Albion on Millwall.

Defeat for the Seagulls would have meant that they would have played the Spurs instead of Palace, but they will now be in the semifinal against Man City on Saturday, April 6th.

The next month should be manic for the club with eight games potentially on the agenda.

The Spurs will now face Man City three times in the space of eleven days after their elimination in the quarterfinals of the Champions League. A European semi-final could then take place if they manage to beat City.

The game against Brighton will also be played mid-week towards the end of the month, while the team also relies on Huddersfield Town and West Ham to end up in the home league.
