Governance, just like life, is not a bed of roses. The road that leads to a more successful destination is fraught with difficulties, some unforeseen while others are expected.

Political parties are elected to solve problems. If this were not the case, the good people of Ghana would have little need to go to the polls to elect the people who would run them.

The nuclear power plant has never forgotten the myriad of challenges that the population faces. It was in this context that the Akufo-Addo administration strove to meet all the challenges that had been left to it by the Mahama administration.

Dumsor, obviously, appeased Mahama and his accusations. Their mismanagement of the situation has resulted in their humiliating dismissal.

The phenomenon has been handled by the current administration. Despite the many measures put in place to remove the problems, it would be dishonest to believe that pockets of intermittent power outages would not make their head ugly.

These minor setbacks attract the necessary attention, hence the short delay used to remove them. What we live in certain parts of the country can not be equated with the odious dum of John Mahama.

Dumsor has flogged Ghana for more than four years, differentiating it from what we are currently seeing. Obviously, Mahama's dummy was the Goliath of the family. None can be compared to that.

The NDC has steadfastly surpbaded itself in an apparent movement to badimilate the challenges we face in dumsor as it existed under Mahama.

The apparent challenge is not extraordinary. The pipes are plugged so that, in the future, we do not wake up to find that our lights are off.

As if that were not enough, they seem to be praying fervently for the real dummies to embrace us. They are looking beyond the repercussions of a continuing energy crisis just to win votes.

His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo pinpointed the point when he said that these NDC people were concerned about the upcoming elections and not about the next generation. Ghana should burn if it gave them the power they had lost.

They like to see companies collapse in ways that derive political benefits. The love of power for these NDC people far exceeds their love for Ghana.
