The Osei-Kusi Foundation supports the inhabitants of Apremso

26, GNA – The Osei-Kusi Foundation (OKF), a non-governmental organization
(NGO), supported the residents of Apremso, a town in the municipality of Nsawam Adoagyiri
Assembly, with various items and a medical examination.

The Foundation, in a
community outreach program over the weekend,
free health and dentists for residents, medications and free gifts
garments and machetes, among others, for more than 6,000 GH ¢.

In an interview with
Dr. Kofi Osei-Kusi, Global Executive Director of the Foundation, said
the gift was meant to help make people in the community smile.

He said next to
physical gifts, it is necessary to preach the gospel to them, leading to the
sharing bibles to help them get closer to their creator.

Dr. Osei-Kusi stated that the
Foundation has undertaken such efforts over the past seven years, adding
that on average, the NGO joins three communities a year.

He said that the
Awareness has not solved the long-term problems of communities, it has
inspiration and short-term solutions.

"We as
Foundation believes that government alone can not develop a country and we as a
people have to do their part to help make a difference, "he said.

Dr. Osei-Kusi said that one
400 people on average, including adults and children, benefited from the benefits
Awareness exercise, many of them having to see the dentist for the first time
their lives.

He said that the NGO
performed the exercise not because he had a lot of money but because there was
are people who were willing to make sacrifices to make people in disadvantaged communities
happy and have a sense of belonging.

Osei-Kusi urged
NGOs and benevolent private companies to continue their efforts to
a positive impact in society, even in the face of financial challenges.

Nana Ntow Kwabena II,
the leader of Apremso Number One, congratulated the OKF for its profound kindness towards
his community with free gifts, free health screening, tips and free
drugs.

He called the
government to help build the community's road network and also
help the community with improved water systems.

In the middle of smiles and
dance, the community called God's blessings on the Foundation and its
partners for kindness showed them.
