A source of police command at Ado Ekiti told SaharaReporters that Reverend Adegoke had been followed using the mobile phone he was using to contact his family.

"The police intercepted and arrested the phone holder with the GSM phone number 09078589516 used to claim a ransom of NZ $ 3 million from the families and church members of the Methodist Reverend kidnapped in the First Bank area, Okeyinmi, Ado-Ekiti, where he was going. choose the ransom ".

"Incidentally, the arrested suspect is the same Reverend Adewuyi Adegoke Peter. During his interrogation, he confessed to having planned his kidnapping and asked for the ransom of 3 million Nairas.

"He also claimed to be staying in a subway hotel and mentioning the 25-year-old accomplice of Adewole Oluwadare Sunday, who had helped make the ransom demand.

"The two suspects have confessed to the crime and are detained at the police headquarters, Ado-Ekiti," the source said.

Amba Asuquo, police commissioner in the state of Ekiti, also confirmed to Saharawi reporters that the two suspects are now in custody.
