In early 2018, Flower stated that she had been bitten by a dog and that she had lost all sensation in her little finger and right thumb.
"After being bitten on the right wrist by a rescue dog earlier this year, I completely lost all sensation in my little finger and my thumb would never heal," she wrote in October 2018.
Fortunately, she said that she was recovering and that she was using her experience to inspire new musical arrangements.

From covering the music of Aretha Franklin and Kendrick Lamar to crushing Skrillex and 12th Planet with Bach, Flower has reproduced dozens of songs. And the Grammy Awards were not his first time playing Cardi B. The musician shared his rendition of "I Like It Like That" from Cardi B on Instagram earlier this year.
