Police in the state of Ebonyi arrested a man who allegedly caused the death of his pregnant wife. The man was reported to the police by residents of his home in the state of Ebonyi, where his wife died.
The man allegedly caused the death of his wife, insisting that she give birth to their child at home.
According to some reports, the man would have witnessed the death of his wife in front of the false midwife found during the delivery.

In shared videos online, the man was seen crying and remorsefully searching while locals called him a murderer.
Residents were also heard, claiming that the man was pretending to have remorse. A woman had told how she found the pregnant woman dead in a pool of blood.
