Professor Ransford Gyampo, Director of European Studies at the University of Ghana, asked the President, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to act quickly to ensure the country's security.

Speaking in the show Ade Akye Abia of Okay FM, he explained that what happened yesterday in the constituency of Ayawaso West Wuogon was scary and should be unequivocally condemned, especially by the president.
"The president has done so much to ensure the peace and security of Dagbon and he must do the same to ensure peace and security in the country."
"If, say, the president has acted so as to break the bad to police forces who refuse to police in Bawaleshie in the constituency of Ayawaso West Wuogon, any officer who will be in charge of supervise such activities will be especially careful or his homework … ".

At the same time, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo condemned the violence that erupted in Thursday's by-election in the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency. Violence at the La Bawaleshie Presby School polling center caused the badault on Ningo-Prampram MP Samuel George by masked men in police vehicles.
The opposition, the CND, civil society and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) condemned the attack.
In a statement, President Akufo-Addo said: "The isolated incident of violence, which occurred at the beginning of the election, was regrettable and regrettable, and I unequivocally condemn it."
