The pressure, what pressure? Manchester City puts all smiles on training before his trip to Everton

Manchester City showed no signs of pressure tied to a title race while Pep Guardiola's team laughed a lot during training on Tuesday.

The defending champions of the Premier League are looking to capitalize on Liverpool's recent failures and know that a win at Everton on Wednesday night would lead them above the goal difference.

The spirits were strong in the club's training complex during the session as the players were hysterical at the coach's expense.

After sending a less than impressive Arsenal to Etihad on Sunday, many will be waiting for City to turn away from Everton's teams, denied self-confidence after their recent bad form.

But Guardiola is concerned that Marco Silva's difficulties will not be overlooked given his past experiences at Goodison Park.

"Goodison Park is still a tough match for us," Guardiola said at his pre-game press conference on Tuesday.

"The approach is the same: go out there, try to make a good performance and win the game and we are lucky to be leading the rankings.

"A long time ago, we lost to Goodison. I will not go thinking about what happened next. Each game is completely different.

The former boss of Barcelona knows that no match can be taken for granted.

But after winning the trophy last season, Guardiola wants his players to take advantage of these experiences to face Liverpool in full time Wednesday night.

"Three or four days ago we finished and the champions were Liverpool. Now we are favorites. Maybe soon we'll be late, he says.

"It's about being calm. There will be surprises, it is difficult for each team to win games. I talk to my players and tell them not to forget who we are as a team. We are a strong team and that's what I want to watch every game. We'll see after.
