Princess Cruises will pick up calls on her private island, Princess Cays, in Eleuthera, Bahamas, on February 4th. None of the routes on the line were affected by a fire that occurred on the night of January 28 when no ships were present.
The only damaged building facing the public is a toilet
Several operations buildings in the south of the island were damaged. The only installation involved was one of the many public toilets.
Princess stated that the guest facilities had been inspected and reported as safe and operational. In areas reserved for personnel, work is underway to restore the affected buildings and equipment.
Local firefighters and island staff extinguished the fire in about an hour. No injuries were reported.
The case is under investigation
The cause of the fire remains in the study.
