The rare Nike and Yeezy sneakers are up for grabs at Sotheby's auction

Lover of sneakers, rejoice.

The first-ever Sotheby tennis shoe auction will feature popular shoes made famous by athletes, musicians and films. But they will not be cheap: auctions start at tens of thousands of dollars for most pairs.

The auction was made possible thanks to a collaboration with Stadium Goods, a reseller of sneakers famous for its collection of rare and expensive shoes.

Notable items include Nike Mags' "Back to the Future, Part II", and a pair of Nike's "Moon Shoes", hand-crafted and designed by Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman.

The collection also includes rare motifs from the partnership between Kanye West, Yeezy and Adidas, and a pair of Air Jordans commemorating the retirement of Derek Jeter.
