The registration race seems to be getting stronger at Kaizer Chiefs following a revelation on Wednesday by coach Ernst Middendorp.
The Premier Soccer League has strict limits on the number of "foreign" nationals who do not have a permanent residence permit to be registered in their books. This number is now up to five in 2015, in accordance with section 34.2 of the NSL Handbook.

At the moment, the leaders find themselves in ties with six, including new recruits like Lazarous Kambole, Samir Nurkovic and James Kotei, as well as Leonardo Castro, Daniel Akpeyi and Andriamirado Andrianarimanana.
There had been speculation earlier that Castro would be unloaded due to poor performance, but Middendorp has since revealed that the Colombian had recovered in the club's plans for the upcoming season, after his pre-season performances .
"Leonardo Castro has really had a good pre-season so far and nothing is happening yet," said the German before the Black Label Cup Carling this weekend.
"I'm very happy with Castro [terms of] how he took this preseason and how he contributed to it. So, yes, there is nothing in it.

Asked whether another stranger would be sacrificed, Middendorp would not be required to confirm it for the moment.
"L & # 39; registration [window] is still going on and we will have to see. Castro interests us again and he can be a good couple with some players from what we've seen so far, "he added.
"And, yes, a decision has to be made at some point, but for now, we do not have to decide. I know of course we have six players and we can only have five.
"When we started the pre-season, Leonardo came out very well, so we went looking for options, and things went differently.
"So, I'm very happy to have it here and it looks like we'll go with it as one of the five."
