With regard to human resources in the health sector, Dr. Letsa said the government is committed to engaging more than 20,000 bonded nurses despite the lack of financial leeway to improve the availability of health care professionals. health throughout the country.

He called on the health authorities to take concrete measures to tackle the problem of the misallocation of health professionals in the country.

The regional minister congratulated the health staff of the rural poor communities who had difficulty providing quality care to rural people.

Decline in health outcomes

Dr Timothy Letsa, regional director of the Volta Health Service of Ghana, reported that the region had experienced a decline in in-prison mortality, maternal mortality, stillbirths, malaria deaths and early pregnancies.
