A woman revenge killed her "unfaithful husband" with a pan and a kitchen knife before cutting his penis, it was learned.

The 47-year-old lawyer Udeme Otike-Odibi is accused of murdering Sym, 50, while he was preparing to travel to the UK from Lekki, Nigeria. .

She would have put a piece of her penis in her hand after cutting it and telling her corpse that it would be best to pbad it.

Otike-Odibi, who would have dual British nationality, reportedly said: "If your penis is one that allows you to feel the feeling of another person, it is best to cut it off."

She was reported to have stabbed her husband, also a lawyer, to death at his home last May, Homicide Police Chief Olusegun Bamidele said at his trial.

But Otike-Odibi, who is also accused of mutilating Sym's corpse, is in jail after pleading not guilty.

Olusegun Bamidele read an apparent "confession" that she had made while recovering from "superficial and self-inflicted wounds" in connection with a seemingly failed suicide attempt.

He said, "She stated that they had marital problems.

"She stated that the deceased had extra-marital affairs and that whenever she raised the issue with him, her responses were not satisfactory. He appeared nonchalant.

"She stated that on May 2, 2018, she was preparing to travel to the UK when she checked the marriage record at the bedside.

"When she could not find him, she went to the deceased's home where he was lying on the bed and interrogated him. But the answer given was not satisfactory.

"She had a discussion with him and there was a heated exchange of words, which led her to go to the kitchen to get a stove and a knife.

"When she came back to where the deceased was lying, she hit him in the head with the pan and said," Tell me, what do you have in mind to refuse? ".

"She said that the deceased had called his mother to report his conduct.

"She continued to hit the deceased on the head again and again. Finally, she confirmed that she used a knife to stab the deceased in her abdomen.

"She also stated that the deceased was lying on her back and that she was still angry.

"She sat next to him and examined her intestines coming out of the deceased." She said, "If your penis is the one that allows you to feel the feeling of another person, better cut it . "
