Return to WWE 12 months ago, as the Road to WrestleMania 34 began to move up a gear.
Ronda Rousey had just arrived on the WWE women's stage. Asuka teases her big WrestleMania showdown with Charlotte Flair.
Bayley and Sasha Banks were sowing seeds for a Horsewomen feud that has not materialized yet and Nia Jax was facing her tyranny Alexa Bliss.
Then there was Becky Lynch, who was struggling among the SmackDown cards, as her WWE career seemed to be about to sink into the abyss.
It's amazing to look back now, given the level of fan popularity that Lynch has reached in a short time since.
The 32-year-old Irish woman is now heading for a much-anticipated showdown at the main WrestleMania 35 event with female champion Raw Rousey.
Has she changed her style in the ring to achieve this? No. Has she changed her look? Not really – except for the moment, dress all in black, Johnny Cash style, when you're not competing.
What we saw was that the WWE gave him a simple character that works: the man. While Becky has always been appreciated by the crowd, her geek obsession with Quinoa will never see her as seriously as she could.
Since her change of attitude last summer, however, Lynch has been allowed to portray an almost natural character – a person who does not take shit from anyone and fights for what she wants.
The crowd's reaction has been almost organic, and The Man is now the biggest fan favorite of the company since Daniel Bryan in 2013/14.
The simple changes that WWE has brought to produce such amazing results raise the question: why do so many other potential stars have trouble breaking the so-called "glbad ceiling"?
Society must stop forcing so much of its talent into scenarios that hinder the development of their personality.

Play on the strengths of the list and do not force them to be what they are not. Otherwise, Vince McMahon risks losing talent to AEW, who may be able to get results from artists that WWE members should be able to turn into stars with their eyes closed.
