A clbadic, with The Who, John Lennon and a plethora of legends
The Rolling Stones have announced a luxury reissue of their clbadic "The Rock And Roll Circus". Check out the new unboxing video of the trailer below.
Realized by Never mindMichael Lindsay-Hogg, the performance was recorded in front of an audience in London in 1968 and was originally conceived as a special show of BBC-TV.
"It was an incredible session, I think, 36 hours or something like that," said Keith Richards about the historic day in December 1967. "I remember not remembering everything at the end … but it was fun … we attended two hearings … we wore one … it was awesome!
To be released June 7 in the United States and June 28 in the United Kingdom. The rock and roll circus of the Rolling Stones has received a 4K Dolby Vision restoration of the concert film on Blu-ray and DVD, with the soundtrack also remixed and expanded to 28 songs and should be available on double CD and triple vinyl.
The show also featured performances by The Who, Jethro Tull, Taj Mahal, Marianne Faithfull, Yoko Ono, The Dirty Mac, and Eric Clapton's supergroup, Keith Richards, Mitch Mitchell Jimi Hendrix Experience and John Lennon. The unpublished tracks of the collective will be available for the first time in this new version.
As an added bonus, the album also includes recordings by pianist Julius Katchen, three songs by Taj Mahal and unreleased recordings from The Dirty Mac, featuring the Beatles clbadic "Revolution" and the title "Warmup Jam".
The deluxe limited edition includes film on Blu-ray ray and DVD, extended 2CD soundtrack and a 44-page book perfectly connected with a custom folding door design. The book also includes David Dalton's original 1969 Rolling Stone essay and photographs taken by Mike Randolf.
Meanwhile, Ronnie Wood recently shared an update on Mick Jagger's health after the singer's cardiac surgery.
"Exit [Humphreys, Wood’s wife] and I went on vacation in the Caribbean with Keith [Richards] and Patti [Hansen]and we sent him videos showing that we were playing and singing "Get Well" songs on the guitar, "said the guitarist. "[Jagger] was amused and impressed! Wood added. "He is doing very well. I spoke to him yesterday and he feels very good.
