Afua Ababio, President of the Rotary Club of Accra Airport
The Rotary Club of Accra Airport has made the Nkrumah district of the 37 Military Hospital to the hospital authorities after the renovation of the facility.
The measures taken by Rotary have made the medical block more child-friendly and more accessible to its users.
According to the president of the Rotary Club of Accra Airport, Afua Ababio, the group felt that it was necessary to carry out the renovation to ensure adequate ventilation in the service after it was completed. Be aware that the place was too hot for comfort at each visit.
The district of Nkrumah has been equipped with playgrounds for children and a space where nursing mothers can keep their things while caring for their children.
Afua Ababio said that this initiative would put mothers at ease when their children will be admitted.
She revealed that there would also be a renovation of the surgical block of the Nkrumah operating room, adding that the new project would be completed in June 2019.
Chief Nursing Officer 37, Josephine Osei-Vowotor, said the renovated facility would contain about 30 patients on admission.
She stated, however, that her department was looking forward to receiving Rotary materials to increase the productivity of the hospital.
