Geeks in the world was the first to say that the project was under development.
The rumor seemed to be corroborated by so-called leakage art projects that resulted in Reddit's DCEU Leaks subreddit. The artwork depicted an apparently remodeled Terry McGinnis – the old and retired Bruce Wayne teenage superhero district in the original 1999 animated series – and a showcase of Batcave outfits worn by Batman, Robin, Batgirl and Nightwing.
According to rumors, the project was a response to Oscar-nominated Sony Pictures Animation's Golden Globes film. Spider-Man: in the Spider-Verse, centered on rookie superhero Miles Morales (Shameik Moore), posing as a costumed crime fighter under the tutelage of elderly mentor Peter Parker (Jake Johnson).
The famous Batman fan and DC Universe fanboy, Kevin Smith, had previously theorized a real action. Batman Beyond movie that sees Batman and Batman Returns Star Michael Keaton took over the role of Bruce Wayne who would bring back a billion dollars at the box office.
