Accra, July 27, GNA – The second edition of
Made in Ghana-Bazaar, which aims to market products and services abroad for
attract foreign direct investment, opened in Accra.

exhibitors, is one of many strategies adopted by the government to
promote small and medium-sized enterprises and provide the necessary platform for

Ms. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, Minister

Mr. Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah, MP
Minister of Commerce and Industry, said promoting trade, industrialization and
investments, the government has embarked on a transformation agenda and
private sector development to develop the economy.

As part of the measures taken to achieve this objective, it is
the government provided physical and non-physical incentives through

taxes, tax holidays, normalization of interest rates, exemptions and importation of weavers

Mr. Lawrence Agyinsam, Executive Director
Head of Ghana Exim Bank, said his team would continue to support and strengthen
the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises to make the economy a

He gave badurance that the Exim Bank
would support businesses with financial intermediation to enable them to
realize their dreams that were in line with the vision of the Government of Ghana

In a speech read on his behalf, Dr. Nana
Appiagei Dankwawoso I, a representative of the private sector, urged the
government to provide incentives and capacity-building opportunities
