Harry Redknapp has become a favorite among I's fans at Celebrity … get me out of here, especially for the kindness with which he talks about his wife – but did you know that? " he had already seriously hurt her?

While many fans refer to Harry and Sandra as being the ideal couple, the wedding has not always been a bed of roses for Mr. and Mrs. Redknapp.

In 2016, the football legend crushed his wife by accident.

Presenters Decklan Donaly and Holly Willoughby – and even Harry himself, aged 71 – also recounted the incident at the joke on the ITV reality show.

But the details of what really happened during this horrible accident sounded much worse than the viewers were led to believe.

All this happened when the former director of Tottenham Hotspur dropped his wife in stores in Bournemouth.

However, unbeknownst to her at the time, Sandra's foot got stuck in the car as Harry began to walk away.

Sandra Redknapp, now 69, was seriously injured after being dragged on a road by her husband's Land Rover.

According to the Daily Telegraph, photos taken at the scene roughly at the time of the incident would show a puddle of blood on the road.

Harry, who formed an impromptu with Noel Edmonds during the jungle show this year, told the press that his wife's foot and coat were inside the vehicle, but admitted that 39, accident could have been worse.

A source told The Evening Standard that Sandra had to be operated on the injured foot, but nothing had seemed broken.

Witnesses reported seeing the wife of the football expert being dragged onto the Bournemouth Road before Harry suddenly braked.

Others saw Harry who, he said, seemed to be shaking, while he was comforting his wife while both waited for an ambulance.

The incident was however evoked again during a recent Bushtucker trial on I'm a celebrity – involving driving.

During the challenge, Harry mentioned the "unreal" accident and admitted that he considered himself more like a good driver because of it.

"I had used to think that I was a good driver, but I had a nightmare and I crushed my wife one day," he said. revealed to his campmates, as reported by the Mirror.

"She got out of the car and I thought I crossed the road and I advanced.

"She fell down the road and a bus stopped literally just steps away.The most amazing part of the story is probably that my granddaughter is sitting on the bus and sees all that."

Fortunately for everyone involved, presenter Nick Knowles was at the wheel of the task, Harry having had to recover chips in mysterious holes while they were running on a track.
