Trump refused to sign any bill that included no money for the fence, while Democrats said they would not support a measure with wall funding. The closure came in its 33rd day Wednesday.
While the partial closure of the government, which began almost five weeks ago, has no impact on the Pentagon, some defense companies have contracts with agencies like NASA and the United States. Department of Homeland Security, which are currently not funded.
Boeing, which is also the second largest defense company in the world, has won a significant number of contracts with the Pentagon in 2018.
