The son of XXXTentacion, Gekyume Onfroy, was born

Seven months after the tragic death of XXXTentacion, the son of the late rapper, Gekyume Onfroy, was born. On Saturday, January 26, the child's mother and X's girlfriend, Jenesis Sanchez, welcomed the little boy to the world.

In a story on Instagram, X's mother, Cleopatra Bernard, wrote this Saturday night that she was simply writing, "Yume has officially arrived." Gekyume, or Yume's nickname, as Cleo calls it, is greeted three days after what would have been X's 21st birthday, on January 23rd.

A statement provided by the X team after the announcement of the birth reads: "The mother of XXXTentacion, Cleopatra Bernard, and Jenesis Sanchez are delighted to announce the arrival of the little boy Gekyume Onfroy, January 26th, 2019. This news comes after a week of intermittent tweets alluding to the impending birth of Gekyume. Sanchez was already pregnant for a few months with the baby at the time of X's death on June 18, 2018.

X's mother had previously announced the name of X's son with an Instagram post in November 2018. "Her name is Gekyume," she writes in the message's caption, which included an emoji baby.

John Cunningham, who was the trusted producer of XXX while the rapper was still alive, he was one of the first to announce that the birth of Gekyume was about to come into the world. "It's baby week," Cunningham wrote in a tweet from Monday (January 20th).
