The family home of the fictional mafia boss Tony Soprano arrived on the market 20 years after the first broadcast of the critically acclaimed television series.

Patti and Victor Recchia announced that their New Jersey home was $ 3.4 million, reports the New York Times.

The property value website, Zillow, estimates its value at $ 1.63 million, but homeowners believe that the Hollywood status of the property will spur demand.

Located on over 5,600 square feet, it has four bedrooms and four bathrooms.

The Sopranos were a hit with critics and audiences alike and lasted six seasons between 1999 and 2007.

This led to the success of the American HBO subscription channel, which then developed series like Curb Your Enthusiasm, Game of Thrones and The Wire.

Now fans of the Sopranos and his patriarch of New Jersey – played by the late James Gandolfini – have the opportunity to buy the house in which many scenes have been placed.

The New York Times reports that actors and the team were filmed at home between 30 and 50 times, including the pilot episode of the series.

The following shootings took place on a replica studio scene, but the production team returned to the movie scenes throughout the program.

Since then, it has become an unofficial tourist spot. A Facebook page for the house has hundreds of "likes" and over 1,000 visits.

Interested parties would have until June 21 to submit offers to the couple.
