The state has filed the case against two journalists from modern Ghana.
Senior prosecutor Stella Ohene Appiah, in a motion on Friday, July 5, told the court that she had no plans to pursue the case at this stage.

The High Court of Accra has responded to his request to journalists in modern Ghana, accused of theft and unauthorized access to electronic records.

Emmanuel Adjarfo Abugri, editor-in-chief of ModernGhana, and his colleague, Emmanuel Britwum, were arrested last week by National Security agents in the middle of accusations of violence.

Yaw Obeng Manu, editor-in-chief of Peace FM, was also arrested and charged with the same offenses.

The case, which was filed Friday morning, was surprisingly withdrawn by prosecutors at 1:30 pm, at which time she was summoned.

Judge Afia Asare Botwe acquitted the three journalists who canceled the case.

Samson Lardi Anyenini, Emmanuel Adjarfo's lawyer, confirms that this confirms his position that his client did not commit any crime.

"As they claim, they will prepare and come back, if they ever come back, we will always be there. We will do everything in our power to ensure that inhumane treatment, injustice and persecution for religious interests do not occur.

"It is the Republic that our father fought with his blood and his work, our generation must stand up to the fact that the judicial proceedings and the powers of the State are not used by certain individuals in the service of their own interests, the lawyer said.
