There was a drama last Monday when a young man in his twenties years returned a stolen phone to his owner in Astoria Junction at Effiakuma New Site in the Western Region. .
But he quickly fled to avoid instant justice.
The culprit, whose name was given only by Joe, snuck into the shop of a lady who sells bottled water and soft drinks.
Realizing that the shop owner was sleeping, he quickly took his iPhone, hid it in his pocket and quickly moved away.
Shock
All the while, a man whose casual clothing store was about 50 yards away was watching him calmly.
When the culprit arrived at the man's place of sale, he was arrested by the second-hand clothing salesman and asked, "Youngman, what are you holding in your hands?
"It's a phone," replied the thief in a very nervous tone.
The man then asked her to go wake up the owner and return the phone to her.
He obeyed in a funny way by waking the owner: "Madam, take your phone, I came to steal it, I did not know what was happening to me."
He handed the phone and quickly got off the hook before the neighbors were informed, said a resident in Connect, Nhyiraba Paa Kwesi Simpson.
