The Queen's official birthday is marked by the annual Trooping the Color parade.

Members of her family and thousands of spectators join her to attend the Horse Guards Parade in Whitehall.

The Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and the Duke and Duchess of Susbad are all present.

The queen celebrated her 93rd birthday in April.

The Royal Colonels – the Prince of Wales, the Colonel of the Welsh Guards, the Royal Princess, the Colonels of the Blues and Royals, the Duke of Cambridge, the Colonel of the Irish Guards and the Duke of York, Colonel of the Grenadiers – are riding in the parade.

The Duchess of Susbad made her first appearance in public since the birth of her son Archie four weeks ago.

The Duke of Edinburgh, who is celebrating his 98th birthday on Monday, has retired from office and is not present.

The Queen will attend the ceremony – this year, the flag of the 1st Battalion, the Grenadier Guards – will march past a platform of the Horse Guards parade and she will also inspect the rows of guards.

After the parade, which involves approximately 1,400 soldiers, the Royal Horse Artillery of the King's Troop will fire a 41-gun salute at Green Park.

The royal family will then return to Buckingham Palace and gather on the balcony to watch the RAF air show.

More than 20 aircraft will participate, including modern jet planes and historic aircraft, with red arrows in the final.

Trooping the Color comes from the traditional preparations for the battle and commemorates the birthday of the ruler for more than 250 years.
