International security expert and Dean of the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC), Dr Vladimir Antwi-Danso, said the United States of America has lost the war against the terrorism in Afghanistan and in all the other places where they have tried to replace the ball with the ballot around the world.

He said he was not surprised at the outcome of the long American war in Afghanistan, as over the past twenty years more than a trillion dollars has been lost in their attempt to suppress the Taliban there.

Dr Antwi-Danso said that the arrogance of the United States is such that they do not learn from history due to the fact that their Russian strike for ten years was not successful and the theory of the war postulates that it is not necessary to enter a protracted war whose dimensions you do not know.

He pointed out that on many occasions the Americans have tried to replace the “ball with the ballot” that never worked in places like Iraq, Libya and now Afghanistan.

Dr Antwi-Danso said the US war on terror is lost wherever they have tried to experiment with ballot replacement and the Afghanistan debacle has really exacerbated the problem.

He said what America ended up doing was creating more terrorists in the world with their so-called war on terror that former President Bush launched when he took office in 2000.

Dr Antwi-Danso pointed out that former President Bush promised to make Afghanistan a beacon of democracy, but every time they take over a country they say they are bringing democracy , but the opposite is obvious.

He said that by studying the situation, one can see that the Afghan forces surrender and give their weapons to the Taliban forces because they are in bed with them.

Dr Antwi-Danso made this contribution in an interview with Emmanuel Samani in the mid-day newspaper on TV3, Monday August 16.

He was commenting on the back of reports that the Taliban took control of Afghanistan with the president fleeing the country after the US military withdrew from the region 20 years after occupying Afghanistan with the promise to rid the country of the Taliban to make it a “democratic” country with their war on terrorism.

“Personally, I am not surprised by the outcome of the Afghan debacle, over the past 20 years more than a trillion dollars have been lost. You see the arrogance of the United States is such that they don’t learn from history, the Russian strike 10 years that they failed and the war theory says you don’t enter in a protracted war of which you do not know the dimensions and the theories are clear, ”he stressed.

He added: “It was very clear that, as they also say in security matters ‘the ballot does not replace the ball’, so time and again Americans have always tried to replace the ball with the ballot, they did it in Iraq, it was not. work, they got hold of Saddam Hussein and get people ready for the ballot and they say ‘democracy hurray’. They tried it in Libya and it was a disaster, they tried and in Afghanistan they thought they had formed a resilient army so they could hang on to Afghanistan. the war.

“The war on terror has been completely lost, it has been lost everywhere because what the Americans have done is create more terrorists. It is as if this exacerbates the problem and Afghanistan is a clear example of the situation so the war on terror is lost, it has been since Bush launched his militarization mission ”.
