According to the Minister of Health, Kwaku Agyeman Manu, the hospital has met all the regulatory requirements.

With its new status, the Ho University Hospital should serve as a center for research on the prevention and treatment of diseases, as well as a major reference center for the Volta and Oti regions, as well as only for hospitals in neighboring Togo and Benin.

Agyemang-Manu noted that the University of Health and Allied Sciences could soon begin to offer programs to support health services, such as the administration of health services, among others.

According to the Minister, this would help to fill the existing gaps in the administration of health services.

The minister also noted that the Ministry of Health had recognized the inadequacies of the human and infrastructural resources of the establishment and planned to fill these gaps.

"I am also pleased to inform you that this hospital has been evaluated by all relevant regulatory bodies in the health sector for the purpose of accreditation and the development of appropriate human resources for the delivery of quality services as a whole. University Hospital. Various recommendations have been taken into account and the Ministry is making every effort to remedy all the shortcomings. The ministry is also aware that there are gaps in infrastructure and is working to fill them.
