Some two vehicles belonging to the Ghana Highway Authority (GHA) in the eastern region were stolen.
The revelation is highlighted in the Auditor General’s 2020 Report on Auditing Statutory Boards and Companies.
The report therefore recommended that officers in custody of vehicles be held accountable.
Also the Authority, according to the report, exceeded its budget for the year under review. He claimed that the budget and reality analysis revealed a total unfavorable variance of GH ¢ 94,016,374.
“We further recommended that management take action to ratify Parliament’s budget overrun,” says the Auditor General’s latest report.
