"There is more to come" – Sadio Mane warns rivals of the Liverpool Premier League

& # 39; There is even more coming from Liverpool, according to Sadio Mane as the striker sends a stern warning to the Reds title rivals.

Jurgen Klopp's men are four points clear of Manchester City before Anfield's Wednesday clash against Leicester City at Anfield.

And while it has been rumored that the Reds do not show the kind of offensive dexterity that set the final campaign, Mane thinks the results have proven their performances this season – though they know they can reach the top .

"We have heard what some media have said about us not starting playing as fast and exciting as last year, and we felt we were not at our best at times" said Mane. World Football.

"The results are there, but we know we could have done more with some of our performances.

"We are very competitive but know that there is even more to come, of course. In many ways, the team is stronger and we have produced very mature performances.

"I hope we will reach our best form when it matters most."

Since replacing Southampton for Liverpool in the summer of 2016, Mane has always played in the Merseyside formation.

The 26-year-old has scored 43 goals in 43 games – 9 of which helped Kops lead the Premier League this season; a position he wants to keep at the club until the end of the season as he fights for a premiere of Liverpool silverware.

"I'm looking forward to winning a trophy with Liverpool. I know fans are desperate to win the Premier League, "he added.

"It would be an incredible moment for the club. It was way too long for a team the size of Liverpool.

"We think we're going in the right direction, but there are tough rivals – City was amazing and very strong last season – but why not?"
