Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry, has been described as "back pain" by his former teammate, Lauren.

The Cameroonian back was part of the Invincible team led by clinical scorer Henry during an unforgettable campaign in 2003/04.

Lauren revealed how fierce competition throughout the team had allowed the team to engage in a historic season in the Premier League without suffering a defeat.

And he identified Henry as a particularly brave character who was not fun to face on the training ground.

"We live 100% in football," he told BBC Sport. "On the training ground, everyone wanted to be the best. When they chose two teams, no one wanted to be the referee.

"It was competitive with any discussion of anything – we were fighting for everything.

"Thierry Henry was a pain in the back, it was amazing."

Lauren also remembered a story where fearful defender Martin Keown had fractured the leg of one of his teammates.

It was a move that caught the attention of a particular teammate and convinced him to start wearing extra protection.

The Gunners were unbeaten in their famous Invincibles season in 2003/04.

"I remember Martin Keown throwing a challenge to Rami Shaaban – his own goalkeeper – and unfortunately he broke his leg.

"I remember Gilberto Silva was there and he came to me and said," Aqui, estan todos locos? "(" Are they all crazy here? ")

"The next day, and after each workout, Gilberto was wearing shin guards – just in case.

"But aside from this specific incident that was unlucky, we were all engaged, all competitive but good, honest and noble."
