– Armed robbers attacked a policeman on the N1 highway

A police officer was robbed by armed thieves in broad daylight on the N1 highway in Accra on Thursday, April 4, 2019.
Thieves stole 80,000 GHC.
An eyewitness from Joy News revealed that the policeman was on a motorcycle with a friend when the thieves pbaded through them, mastered them and cashed the money.

The witness testified that the two thieves fired warning shots and stuck with the money from their motorcycle.
"The policeman is our friend and he comes to us … he had on him the money that he was going to use to pay the duty of a car. He wanted my brother to accompany him and be his witness.
"He called one of the elders here and they were near the [Toyota] Land Cruiser talking when a guy came out with a gun and fired warning shots, "The eyewitness told Joy News.

He added that armed robbers had asked for money and had quickly searched the policeman to find out if he had a gun.
