Thirteen media houses and three institutions confirm their participation in National Media Games

Accra, July 26, GNA – Thirteen Press Houses
and three media training institutions confirmed their participation in the
first edition of the National Media Games scheduled for Saturday, August 17 at
the El-Wak sports stadium.

Participating teams would compete in
seven sports disciplines for men and women.

The event that is in collaboration with the
The National Sports Authority (ANS) would see the entire media house win a huge success.
cash prize of 10,000 Ghc and a giant trophy, as well as the right to boast of
"National champion of media games in 2019".

According to the organizers, the event would
offer viewers the opportunity to see and encourage their favorite TVs
and personalities of the radio to victory.

This would be the largest state rally
private and private media, as well as media training institutions in Ghana
a place to network and compete.

Participating media houses include Media
General, New Times Corporation, Kencity Media, Ghana News Agency (GNA), Clbad
Media Group, World Media Alliance, Daily Guide Network, Ghana Broadcasting
Corporation (GBC), Praise TV, HomeBase TV, Metro TV, Angel Broadcasting Network
and TV Africa with the Ghana Journalism Institute (GIJ), the National Film Center
Television and Television (NAFTI) and the African University College of
Communication (AUCC) as participating media training institutions.

They would compete in athletics, football,
Volleyball, Apple-In-A-Line and Tug of war. Trophies and medals will be
presented for each discipline.

The event is called "Rise Above the Noise"
is intended to treat the chancre of pirated material and to encourage the
local content production.
