Just like the visible man, Apple made transparent Macs with well-packaged viscera and clearly exposed to the inside. The idea was to allow Apple designers to see and understand how the components fit together inside a Mac before closing the case and beige.
These transparent Macs were extremely rare: we only know ten of them. One of these transparent Mac OS has recently been implemented on eBay with a rather aggressive reserve price of $ 25,000.
The Mac OS itself was sufficiently functional, the only technical problem being that it had to be booted from the 800k floppy disk drive. Unfortunately, as rare as it is, no one wanted to raise the $ 25,000 minimum to add a rare vintage Mac X-Ray to his collection. Maybe the seller will have more luck in the second round.
