The surprising visitors of Computex with its graphic card-like design are actually SSDs. This model, which can reach higher speeds than normal SSDs, is installed in the system via the PCIe connector on the motherboard.
After the first PCIe 4.0 SSD on the Gigabyte stand, we thought it was a video card. Later, however, we learned that it was a special SSD. 4 units of 2 terabyte capacity M.2 SSD PCI Express are used. The Aorus logo stands out on the fan in this installation, which is cool and looks like a graphics card. The product is not listed on Gigabyte or Aorus sites at the time of video creation. We think that it will appear sometime after the show.
We have not tested the speed test ourselves, but 15 GB of data transfer per second is a huge claim. For optimal performance, Gigabyte recommends the X570 motherboard, introduced with the AMD Ryzen 3000 processors. Because the PCIe 4.0 interface is only available on these motherboards. Gigabyte also shared his speed test with us and showed the results mentioned on CrystalDiskMark.
