The boys debuted on the New York Comic Con scene with a quick teaser, but today Amazon Prime Video debuted with a full trailer for the television adaptation of Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson's series.

Originally released under the DC Comics Wildstorm footprint in 2006, The boys follows an eponymous team to monitor and monitor the superhero community. In the world of the series, corporate sponsored superheroes lead scandalous celebrity lives endangering humanity more than just aid. Former secret agent Billy Butcher and a team of like-minded people unite to teach them a lesson. Like many of Ennis's works, the comic is characterized by great violence and the sordid weaknesses of its very human characters.

A film adaptation for The boys is in the works since 2008, but it's Amazon Prime Video that seems to have finally done, under the producers Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. These last two have also produced an adaptation of Ennis' Preacher for AMC.

The cast of the series includes Christopher Chance Crawford (Gossip Girl) and Karen Fukuhara (Suicide team), with Jack Quaid (Logan Lucky) and Karl Urban (Star Trek) in the lead roles of "Wee" Hughie Campbell and Billy Butcher.
