However, Asante Kotoko via their official Twitter page denied the allegation of Coton Garoua Sport and showed a photo stating that Kwame Bonsu was wearing the number 3 jersey in the first leg.

"Coton Sport complains of a number of the jersey of a player and wants to bring it to the attention of the CAF," said the secretary general of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT), Benjamin Didier Banlock.
Banlock, co-signer of the petition, told Oyerepa, Minister of Foreign Affairs, that he had signed the document simply for duty. "For me, that does not change the fact that we have seen the game and that ends there for me."
